TaleMe

Terms of Service

These terms are published in English; the English text is the binding version.

Version v1 · Last updated 23 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us, the team that runs TaleMe, for using TaleMe: the website at app.talelab.ai and the TaleMe app. Read them with our Community guidelines, which are part of these terms, and our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle your data. You agree to these terms when you confirm the 18+ step. If you do not agree, do not use TaleMe.

Who can use TaleMe

  • TaleMe is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms and to see adult content.
  • You may not use TaleMe where the law does not allow it, or after we have ended your access.
  • An account is for one person. Do not share, sell or transfer yours.

Your account

  • You sign in with a code sent to your email address, or with Google or Apple where they are offered. Keep that sign-in secure: you are responsible for what happens through your account.
  • Keep the details you give us accurate, including your age. If you think someone else has used your account, email info@talelab.ai.

Your content

Your content is what you write, upload, create or have generated on TaleMe: your messages in stories, the stories and characters you create, and the pictures and videos you upload or have made.

  • You own it. You keep ownership of your content.
  • You let us use it to run TaleMe. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, show, adapt and distribute your content, and to promote stories you publish within TaleMe, as far as we need to provide TaleMe to you and, for stories you publish, to other players. Adapting includes translating, formatting and resizing it, and making pictures, voice and video from it. The licence lasts while your content is on TaleMe, and covers the copies we keep as the Privacy policy describes.
  • You are responsible for it. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload or publish, that it follows these terms and the Community guidelines, and that publishing it breaks no law and no one else's rights.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour on TaleMe. You must not create, upload, publish, share or ask the assistant to generate:

  • sexual content involving minors, including characters who are, or look like, minors;
  • sexual content about real people, or content that abuses, harasses, threatens or exposes a real person;
  • content that glorifies, encourages or teaches suicide or self-harm, or gives instructions for real-world harm;
  • content that promotes hatred of, or dehumanises, people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or the like;
  • bestiality or necrophilia;
  • anything else the Community guidelines do not allow, or that is illegal.

You must not harass, threaten, bully, impersonate or abuse anyone on TaleMe, whether players, creators or our team, or use TaleMe to spam, defraud or mislead people. You must not get around our safety checks, reach other people's accounts or data, copy TaleMe or its content by automated means, or interfere with how TaleMe works.

When content or behaviour breaks these rules, we may remove the content or stop showing and recommending it, end the account's creator access, and suspend or terminate the account responsible. Where the law requires it, we report it to the authorities.

You can report a story from its page, and block a creator whose stories you do not want to see. You can also email info@talelab.ai about any content or account. We review reports and act on those that break these terms.

Stories are written by AI

  • The story's replies, and its pictures, voices and videos, are generated by AI models as you play. They are fiction. They can be inaccurate, inconsistent, upsetting or not what you expected, and they can differ each time.
  • Nothing generated on TaleMe is advice of any kind, medical, legal, financial or otherwise, and none of it states facts about real people or events. Do not rely on it.
  • Characters are not real people, and what they say is not our view.
  • If something generated crosses the lines above, report it.

Diamonds

  • Some things on TaleMe cost diamonds, such as story turns, pictures and videos. Their prices in diamonds are shown in TaleMe, and a generation that fails is not charged.
  • You can buy diamonds in the iOS app through Apple's App Store, or on the web at checkout. New accounts may also receive welcome diamonds.
  • Diamonds are a limited, personal licence to use virtual items in TaleMe. They are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, transferred to another account or used outside TaleMe.
  • Diamonds do not expire.
  • Purchases are final and not refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund or the store you bought through offers one under its refund policy. App Store purchases are also subject to Apple's terms, and Apple handles their refunds.
  • If a payment is refunded, reversed or charged back, we may take back the diamonds it bought. If they have already been spent, your balance can go below zero, and later purchases repay it first.
  • Unused diamonds are not refunded when you delete your account or when we end it for breaking these terms, except where the law requires it.

Ending your account

  • You can stop using TaleMe at any time. You can delete your account in the app, from your profile, or by emailing info@talelab.ai from the address you sign in with. The Privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
  • We may suspend or end your access to TaleMe if you break these terms or the Community guidelines, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering TaleMe. Where we can, we tell you why.

Privacy

Our Privacy policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and which companies process it for us, including the AI model and voice providers that generate the story's replies, pictures and voice from your messages and the story so far.

TaleMe itself

  • TaleMe, its software, its design and the content we provide belong to us or to those who license them to us. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the TaleMe app and website for your own, non-commercial use under these terms.
  • TaleMe changes over time: we may add, change or remove features, and TaleMe may sometimes be unavailable.

Disclaimers

We work to keep TaleMe running well, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promise that TaleMe will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, that generated content will be accurate or meet your expectations, or that your content will never be lost, and we disclaim implied warranties, such as of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of TaleMe or your inability to use it. Our total liability to you for all claims about TaleMe is limited to the amount you paid us for TaleMe in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law does not let you give up.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top show which terms apply. When a change needs your agreement, we ask you to agree to the new version in the app or on the web before you continue; if you do not agree, you can stop using TaleMe and delete your account. Smaller changes, such as corrections, update only the date.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the TaleMe app from Apple's App Store, these points also apply to your use of it:

  • These terms are an agreement between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions allow, except that other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use it.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies to it, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses from a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent these terms do not disclaim them.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or anyone else relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If anyone claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • When you use the app, you must also follow any third-party terms that apply to you, such as your mobile data provider's.
  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept these terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  • Send questions, complaints or claims about the app to us at info@talelab.ai.

General

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part straight away, we can still enforce it later.
